This study focuses on identifying active compounds within Chenopodium ambrosioides extracts and fractions, with a specific emphasis on their potential analgesic and antidiabetic properties. The motivation arises from the reported therapeutic effects of the plant and the desire to pinpoint the compounds responsible for these benefits. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry spectrophotometric analysis was employed to characterize chemical constituents in the aqueous extracts (infused aqueous extract and macerated aqueous extract) and fractions (cyclohexane fraction, ethyl acetate fraction, butanol fraction, remaining aqueous fraction) of C.

This study aimed to isolate Streptomyces sp. from Moroccan terrestrial ecosystems and identify bioactive compounds through GC-MS analysis. Antimicrobial activity was assessed against various pathogenic microorganisms including Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Candida albicans ATCC 60193, and multi-drug resistant strains comprising Listeria monocytogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae 19K 929, Proteus sp.

This study aimed to explore the antioxidant potential of the ethyl acetate extract of Streptomyces coeruleofuscus SCJ strain, along with its inhibitory effects on the triple-negative human breast carcinoma cell line (MDA-MB-468). The ethyl acetate extract's total phenolic and flavonoid contents were quantified, and its antioxidant activity was investigated using DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl), ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid), and FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) assays. Furthermore, the cytotoxic effect of the organic extract from Streptomyces coeruleofuscus SCJ on MDA-MB-468 cancer cells was assessed via the crystal violet assay.

Earthworms' coelomic fluid (CF) has been discovered to possess properties that promote plant development. In particular, the earthworm's coelomic fluid-associated bacteria (CFB) are the primary factor influencing the plants' response. To investigate this, we used bacteria isolated from the CF and selected based on different plant growth-promoting traits, in a mesocosm ecosystem that includes plants.

Introduction: Given their remarkable capacity to convert atmospheric nitrogen into plant-accessible ammonia, nitrogen-fixing microbial species hold promise as a sustainable alternative to chemical nitrogen fertilizers, particularly in economically significant crops like wheat. This study aimed to identify strains with optimal attributes for promoting wheat growth sustainably, with a primary emphasis on reducing reliance on chemical nitrogen fertilizers.

Methods: We isolated free nitrogen-fixing strains from diverse rhizospheric soils across Morocco.

Argan tree is frequently constrained by environmental stresses, especially drought. Lipids play crucial roles in stress adaptation, but lipidomic profiles in Argania spinosa under drought stress is largely unknown. The aim of this study was to identify lipid components potentially responsive to drought stress from leaves in the four argan ecotypes.

Native plants in extreme environments may harbor some unique microbial communities with particular functions to sustain their growth and tolerance to harsh conditions. The aim of this study was to investigate the bacterial communities profiles in some native plants and samples of the Moroccan phosphate mine ecosystem by assessing the percentages of taxonomic identification using six hypervariable regions of the 16S rRNA. The rhizosphere of the three wild plants in the Moroccan phosphate mine is characterized by interesting bacterial diversity including Proteobacteria (62.

The carmine cochineal (Cockerell) is the major insect pest of the prickly-pear cactus (L.) in Morocco. The present study investigated the insecticidal activities of six essential oils (EOs) against nymphs and adult females of applied singly or in combination with a detergent under laboratory and field conditions.

Biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) refers to a microbial mediated process based upon an enzymatic "Nitrogenase" conversion of atmospheric nitrogen (N) into ammonium readily absorbable by roots. N-fixing microorganisms collectively termed as "diazotrophs" are able to fix biologically N in association with plant roots. Specifically, the symbiotic rhizobacteria induce structural and physiological modifications of bacterial cells and plant roots into specialized structures called nodules.

This work aimed to assess the ability of plant growth-promoting Bacilli isolated from wheat rhizosphere and rock phosphate mine soils to convert inorganic phosphate (Pi) from Moroccan natural phosphate (NP) to soluble forms. The effect of these bacteria on wheat plants in order to increase their phosphorus (P) uptake in vitro was also investigated. Bacteria were isolated from wheat rhizosphere and natural rock phosphate soils and screened for their ability to solubilize Tri-Calcium Phosphate (TCP) and Natural Rock Phosphate (NP), to produce indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), siderophores and 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase.
