The comparability of endovascular coiling over neurosurgical clipping has not been firmly established in elderly patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH). Data were obtained from all patients with aSAH aged ≥60 across three tertiary hospitals in Singapore from 2014 to 2019. Outcome measures included modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score at 3 and at 6 months, and in-hospital mortality.

Contrast extravasation on computed tomography angiography, known as the "spot sign", has been described as an independent predictor of hematoma progression and clinical deterioration. However, its role in hypertensive ICH alone has not been determined and is the primary aim of this study.

Case Description: We present a case of spontaneous obliteration of AVM in a 60-year-old gentleman who presented with intraparenchymal hemorrhage from a ruptured right parieto-occipital AVM.
Primary intracranial germ cell tumours (ICGCT) are a rare group of brain tumours arising predominantly in the paediatric and pre-adult population, accounting for up to 9.5% of paediatric brain tumours in East Asia. The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is a tertiary referral centre for patients from all over South-East Asia.

Case Description: We present a unique case of an anaplastic cortical ependymoma in a 51-year-old female presenting as a butterfly lesion with involvement of both frontal lobes. The patient underwent gross total resection of her tumor with further adjuvant treatment.
A 68-year-old man with no cardiovascular risk factors was admitted with a stroke because of multiple brain infarcts in different vascular territories. He required mechanical ventilation for hypoxia as a result of aspiration pneumonia. Subsequent recovery was hindered by episodic, unexplained hypoxia.

Introduction: This study aims to determine the attitudes of Asian elderly patients towards invasive life support measures, the degree of patient-surrogate concordance in end-of-life decision making, the extent to which patients desire autonomy over end-of-life medical decisions, the reasons behind patients' and surrogates' decisions, and the main factors influencing patients' and surrogates' decision-making processes. We hypothesize that there is significant patient-surrogate discordance in end-of-life decision making in our community.
Materials And Methods: The patient and surrogate were presented with a hypothetical scenario in which the patient experienced gradual functional decline in the community before being admitted for life-threatening pneumonia.
To assess the awareness and acceptability of colorectal cancer (CRC) screening in noncompliant Singaporeans and to determine if their barriers can be overcome by education. A questionnaire developed from thematic analysis of open-ended interviews with 72 subjects was administered to 580 residents in a local high-rise housing estate. Participants aware of CRC screening were assessed for barriers and acceptability of CRC screening.
