  • The review synthesized evidence on how following the 24-hour movement guidelines (physical activity, limited screen time, and adequate sleep) affects academic outcomes in children and adolescents.
  • Out of 4326 records, 10 studies (8 cross-sectional and 2 longitudinal) were included, showing a slight positive correlation between adherence to these guidelines and academic achievement, with a reported effect size of r=0.17.
  • The conclusion highlights that while there's a small link between movement guideline adherence and academic success, further research is needed to strengthen this finding.
