Introduction: Intermittent claudication is a peripheral artery disease caused by arteriosclerosis. People with intermittent claudication experience leg cramping during walking, with relief of symptoms during rest. Evidence shows that by participating in supervised exercise therapy and smoking cessation programs, people with intermittent claudication can reduce those symptoms and improve health-related quality of life and maximal walking distance while minimizing the need for an operation.

Background: Network meta-analyses can be valuable for decision-makers in guiding clinical practice. However, for network meta-analysis results to be reliable, the assumptions of both transitivity and coherence must be met, and the methodology should adhere to current best practices. We aimed to assess whether network meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing interventions for proximal humerus fractures provide reliable estimates of intervention effects.

Exercise therapy helps improve glycaemic control and insulin sensitivity and may be relevant in treating patients with diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). This study describes the development of a 12-week exercise therapy program for patients with DFUs and the preliminary feasibility of the program focusing on the program's inclusion, adherence, and safety. The development process is built on knowledge from a published systematic review on exercise for people with DFUs and a grounded theory study on the main concerns of people with DFUs regarding physical activity.

Unlabelled: In this study, we explore the perceived affordances of simulation-based learning (SBL) among online student teachers in Norway. We investigated how simulations mediate professional learning when coupled with educator-led debriefings and peer-led focus groups. Using an exploratory qualitative design, we examined 21 pre-service teachers' perspectives on their experiences of this SBL intervention.

Introduction: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are associated with extensive consequences for the affected patients and treatment of these hard-to-heal ulcers is known for being challenging. New treatment methods to supplement the current standard care may improve the prognosis for these patients.A preceding feasibility trial with promising results, facilitated this trial that aims to study the effect of a novel simple treatment, called inforatio technique, which may promote healing of DFUs.

Background: Immune checkpoint blockade with monoclonal antibodies targeting programmed death 1 (PD-1) and its ligand PD-L1 has played a major role in the rise of cancer immune therapy. We have identified naturally occurring self-reactive T cells specific to PD-L1 in both healthy donors and cancer patients. Stimulation with a PD-L1 peptide (IO103), activates these cells to exhibit inflammatory and anti-regulatory functions that include cytotoxicity against PD-L1-expressing target cells.

Aim: Exercise therapy is a core element in the treatment of diabetes, but the benefits and harms for patients with a diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) are unknown. We therefore aimed to systematically review the benefits on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and harms of exercise therapy for patients with DFU.

Methods: We searched 6 major databases.

Febrile neutropenia (FN) is a critical complication of chemotherapy associated with increased in-hospital mortality. However, associations with increased mortality and intensive care unit (ICU) admissions during longer follow-up are not established. Patients treated with standard first-line chemotherapy for solid cancers at Rigshospitalet, Denmark in 2010-2016 were included.

This review summarises the work-up of patients with monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). In persons above 70 years of age, around 5% have MGUS, a premalignant state with a monoclonal plasma immunoglobulin or light chain (M protein) in blood and/or urine. Continuous follow-up is recommended due to a risk of malignant progression of around 1% per year.

The purpose of this study is to determine the interrater reliability of dynamic muscle tests in the early rehabilitation phase in women after breast cancer surgery with axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) based on the "preventive intervention against lymphedema after breast cancer" (LYCA) randomised controlled trial. Fifteen women treated with breast cancer surgery including ALND were recruited from participants in the LYCA trial. In this interrater reliability study, women were tested in 4 dynamic muscle tests by 2 physiotherapists at a Capital Hospital in Denmark.

The absolute risk reduction by prophylaxis in chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia (FN) is largest in patients at highest underlying risk. Therefore, reliable predictive models are needed. Here, we develop and validate such a model for risk of FN during chemotherapy cycles 2-6.

Background: Febrile neutropenia (FN) is a common complication to chemotherapy, associated with increased short-term morbidity and mortality. However, the long-term outcomes after FN are poorly elucidated. We examined the long-term risk of infection and mortality rates in cancer patients with and without FN.

Empirical parameterizations of the shortwave sand transport that are used in practical engineering models lack the representation of certain processes to accurately predict morphodynamics in shallow water. Therefore, measurements of near-bed velocity and suspended sand concentration, collected during two field campaigns (at the Sand Engine and Ameland, the Netherlands) and one field-scale laboratory experiment (BARDEXII), were here analyzed to study the magnitude and direction of the shortwave sand flux in the shallow surf zone. Shortwave sand fluxes dominated the total sand flux during low-energetic accretive conditions, while the mean cross-shore current (undertow) dominated the total flux during high-energetic erosive conditions.

Background: Little is known about the physical and psychosocial work environment of chiropractors and their work-related health complaints, and this has never been described for Danish chiropractors. The aim of this study was, therefore, to describe work-related acute physical injuries, overuse complaints, and psychosocial stress in Danish chiropractic work settings.

Methods: We developed a questionnaire specifically for this study and distributed it electronically in August 2016 using SurveyXact to all 575 members of the Danish Chiropractors' Association working in primary care clinics.

Background: When conducting systematic reviews, it is essential to perform a comprehensive literature search to identify all published studies relevant to the specific research question. The Cochrane Collaborations Methodological Expectations of Cochrane Intervention Reviews (MECIR) guidelines state that searching MEDLINE, EMBASE and CENTRAL should be considered mandatory. The aim of this study was to evaluate the MECIR recommendations to use MEDLINE, EMBASE and CENTRAL combined, and examine the yield of using these to find randomized controlled trials (RCTs) within the area of musculoskeletal disorders.
