Autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) is a treatment option for relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) that are refractory to disease-modifying therapy (DMT). AHSCT after failure of high-efficacy DMT in aggressive forms of relapsing-remitting MS is a generally accepted indication, yet the optimal placement of this approach in the treatment sequence is not universally agreed upon. Uncertainties also remain with respect to other indications, such as in rapidly evolving, severe, treatment-naive MS, progressive MS, and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).

The authors conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis as per the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines assessing the efficacy of BTM in complex upper extremity wound reconstruction. The translational value of the marble burying task (MBT) is debatable. Here we performed video analysis of behaviors during the MBT to accurately capture the details of all behaviors displayed during this task. Our results show that a count of marbles buried at the end of the task may not be a good translational correlate of the 'intentional marble burying' that the task is assumed to measure.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare functional outcomes between patients who were found to have a retear on ultrasound versus those with an intact repair following arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study comparing functional outcomes of 84 patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and were found to have a retear versus those who did not experience a retear. Functional outcomes included American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score, Simple Shoulder Test, strength and active range of motion (AROM) assessed preoperatively and postoperatively at 3 and 6 months.

Bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) methodology uses split fluorescent proteins to detect interactions between proteins in living cells.
