Unlabelled: Introduction-Aim: Chronic low back pain affects 80% of individuals at some point in their lives and has significant socioeconomic impacts. This study aims to compare the efficacy of mesotherapy with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) in treating chronic low back pain.
Methods: A randomized bicentric study was conducted at the Military Hospital of Tunis and the Multidisciplinary Military Polyclinic of Mefeteh Saadallah between August 2023 and June 2024.
Nearly 50 years after the ground-breaking isolation of the primary microsymbiont under axenic conditions, efforts to isolate a substantial number of and strains continue with enduring challenges and complexities. This study aimed to streamline genomic insights through comparative and predictive tools to extract traits crucial for isolating specific in axenic conditions. Pangenome analysis unveiled significant genetic diversity, suggesting untapped potential for cultivation strategies.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFToday, one of the major challenges of dairy farmers is to reduce their environmental footprint to establish more effective, efficient, and sustainable production systems. Feed additives such as yeast probiotics could potentially allow them to achieve these objectives through the improvement of milk production, feed efficiency, and ration valorization, hence mitigating the environmental impacts of milk production. In this study, the life cycle assessment (LCA) principle was performed to estimate the environmental impact of the production and supplementation of a commercial yeast probiotic (Actisaf Sc 47) in three trials performed in three different countries that are representative for around 50% of the milk production in Europe: France (French trial), United Kingdom (UK trial), and Germany (German trial).

Aim: To compare the evolution of muscle strentgh of spinal extensors and flexors in chronic low back pain patients after an isokinetic rehabilitation protocol and a conventional rehabilitation one.
Method: This was a prospective and comparative study carried out in the Physical Medicine Department of the Tunis Military Hospital over a period of 7 months.
Introduction: Stump hyperhidrosis is a common condition after lower limb amputation. It affects the prosthesis use, and the quality of life of patients. Several case reports tried to prove benefit of using Botulinum toxin in its treatment.

Aim: To evaluate the epidemiological, clinical, and radiological profile of children with CP and to study the therapeutic modalities in daily clinical practice.
Method: This was a retrospective, descriptive study, carried out in a physical medicine and rehabilitation department, including all the patients referred with the diagnosis of cerebral palsy between January 2000 and December 2016.
Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in increased psychological pressure on mental health since 2019. The resulting anxiety and stress have permeated every aspect of life during confinement.
Objective: To provide psychologists with an unbiased measure that can aid in the preliminary diagnosis of anxiety disorders and be used as an initial treatment in cognitive-behavioral therapy, this article introduces automated recognition of three levels of anxiety.
Pulse rate (PR) is one of the most important markers for assessing a person's health. With the increasing demand for long-term health monitoring, much attention is being paid to contactless PR estimation using imaging photoplethysmography (iPPG). This non-invasive technique is based on the analysis of subtle changes in skin color.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among Tunisian youths (N = 372, 16-20 years; 68% females, 32% males). Data collection took place in four representative public secondary schools in the North, Center, and South of Tunisia.
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women and men in Algeria. Lynch syndrome (LS) is an autosomal dominant disease caused by heterozygous germline pathogenic variants in mismatch repair genes (MMR) and frequently predisposes to colorectal cancer. However, data about MMR germline pathogenic variants in Algerian patients are limited.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the in-hospital and 1-year clinical outcomes of patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in Tunisia.
Objectives: Our work aimed to translate Ditrovie scale into standard Arabic and to verify its validity and reliability in the Tunisian population.
Materials: The translation-retro-translation method was the chosen translation method. The committee of experts analyzed these versions and elaborated a pre-final version The Arabic version obtained was conducted on a sample of 100 patients with idiopathic overactive bladder.
Mackinawite was biologically synthetized by immersing carbon steel coupons in artificial seawater containing Sulphate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB) for 6months. These coupons were removed from the culture medium solution and some were stored in air while others were placed in SRB-free culture medium solution. In operando Raman spectroscopy was used to analyse all these coupons immediately after extraction from the incubation medium and nanocrystalline, well-crystallized and partially oxidized mackinawite was detected.

In the absence of prophylactic surgery, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the inevitable consequence of FAP. The vast majority of FAP is caused by germline mutations in the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor gene (5q21).

Aim: To evaluate functional status of aged people with generalized OA in Tunisia, and to detect the main factors associated with a poor function in order to optimize their medical care.
Introduction: functional restoration of the spine is a proven method in the short-term management of chronic low back pain. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of a functional restoration program at two years of evolution.
Methods: retrospective study of patients enrolled in a functional restoration program during 2014 and summoned after two years, in 2016.
The BaNdTiW O (BNT ) pervoskite with a single phase tetragonal structure was prepared at 900 °C using the Molten salt method. Raman spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), absorption spectra (Vis-NIR) and photoluminescence spectra (PL) in the temperature range from 10-300 K were used to investigate the correlations between the crystal structure and the optical properties of BNT ceramics. Raman analyses and FT-IR indicated that the W ions are incorporated sufficiently into into the BNT lattice.
