Background And Objectives: The benefit of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with basilar artery occlusion (BAO) and a baseline National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score <10 is unclear because this subpopulation has been substantially excluded from large clinical trials. The aim of our study was to determine whether MT ± IV thrombolysis (IVT) improves functional outcomes compared with IVT alone in patients with BAO and a NIHSS score <10.

Methods: We emulated a hypothetical trial including adult patients with BAO, a baseline NIHSS score <10, and prestroke modified Rankin scale (mRS) scores 0-2, comparing MT (±IVT) with IVT alone.

This work aimed to evaluate the impact of enrichment processing on the quality parameters, bioactivity and sensorial aspects of (mace)-flavored olive oil storage for one year. The mace powder was added to extra virgin olive oil through two different processes: immediately after crushing the olives by mixing mace (1% weight/weight (/)) with the olive paste (MAVOO-M) and by adding mace to extra virgin olive oil (C) (2% /) (MAVOO-I). A multi-analytical approach was applied to measure the main qualitative indexes, such as the free acidity, peroxide value and ultraviolet parameters.

Mucin1 (MUC1), a glycoprotein associated with an aggressive cancer phenotype and chemoresistance, is aberrantly overexpressed in a subset of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Recent studies suggest that MUC1 plays a role in modulating cancer cell metabolism, but its role in regulating immunoflogosis in the tumor microenvironment remains poorly understood. In a previous study, we showed that pentraxin-3 (PTX3) can affect the immunoflogosis in the ccRCC microenvironment by activating the classical pathway of the complement system (C1q) and releasing proangiogenic factors (C3a, C5a).
