Anti-Myocardial Ischemia Reperfusion Injury Mechanism of Dried Ginger-Aconite Decoction Based on Network Pharmacology.

Dried ginger-aconite decoction (DAD) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula that has been extensively used in the treatment of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MI/RI). However, its specific mechanism against MI/RI has not been reported yet. Therefore, this paper studies the potential active components and mechanism of DAD against MI/RI based on network pharmacology and experimental verification.

[Isolation and expression analysis of a hexose transporter gene DoHT1 in Dendrobium officinale].

In this study, RACE technology was employed to isolate the full length cDNA of DoHT1 in Dendrobium officinale, followed by bioinformatics analysis of the sequence characteristics. And the expression pattern of the gene was also analyzed by quantitative PCR. The full length cDNA of DoHT1 was 1 586 bp in length, containing a 1 536 bp ORF, which encoded a 511-aa protein with molecular weight of 56.

Spatio-temporal dynamics of automatic processing of phonological information in visual words.

Sensory-specific cortices appear to be sensitive to information from another modality. Here we investigate whether the human brain automatically extracts the phonological information in visual words in early visual processing. We continuously presented native Chinese speakers peripherally with Chinese homophone characters in an oddball paradigm, while they performed a visual detection task presented in the centre of the visual field.

Association of ADAM33 gene polymorphisms with COPD in the Mongolian population of China.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a respiratory disorder with increasing prevalence and mortality, influenced by both environmental and genetic factors. ADAM33 gene has been found to be associated with asthma, declined lung function and COPD.

Aim: The aim of this study was to find out if SNPs in ADAM33 (V4, T+1, T1, T2, S1, S2, Q-1 and F+1) play any role in genetic susceptibility to COPD in the Mongolian population of China.

Rapid extraction of lexical tone phonology in Chinese characters: a visual mismatch negativity study.

Background: In alphabetic languages, emerging evidence from behavioral and neuroimaging studies shows the rapid and automatic activation of phonological information in visual word recognition. In the mapping from orthography to phonology, unlike most alphabetic languages in which there is a natural correspondence between the visual and phonological forms, in logographic Chinese, the mapping between visual and phonological forms is rather arbitrary and depends on learning and experience. The issue of whether the phonological information is rapidly and automatically extracted in Chinese characters by the brain has not yet been thoroughly addressed.

Risk factors associated with nephrolithiasis: a case-control study in China.

Nephrolithiasis is a multifactorial disease. The authors conducted a case-control study in China to explore its associated risk factors. A total of 725 nephrolithiasis patients and 553 controls were asked to complete a questionnaire that asked for information about psychological, behavioral, and dietary factors along with a physical and blood biochemical examination.

[Alkaloid constituents of Corydalis adunca].

Objective: To study the alkaloid component of Corydalis adunca Maxim.

Methods: The constituents were isolated by chromatographic methods, their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic evidences.

Results: Three compounds were purified and their structures were identified, they were identified as dorydaline (I), dehydrocorydaline (II), dihydrosanguinarine (III).

Construction, expression and characterization of the engineered antibody against tumor surface antigen, p185(c-erbB-2).

The c-erbB-2 proto-oncogene encodes a 185kDa protein p185, which belongs to epidermal growth factor receptor family. Amplification of this gene has been shown to correlate with poor clinical prognosis for certain cancer patients. The monoclonal antibody A21 which directed against p185 specifically inhibits proliferation of tumor cells overexpressing p185, hence allows it to be a candidate for targeted therapy.
