Ten new drimane meroterpenoids talarines A-J (-), along with six known analogues , were isolated from desert soil-derived fungus LD-7. Their 2D structures were elucidated by comprehensive interpretation of NMR and HRESIMS data. Electronic circular dichroism calculation was used to establish their absolute configurations.

Association between blood ethylene oxide levels and the prevalence of periodontitis: evidence from NHANES 2013-2014.

Background: The study aimed to establish a link between blood ethylene oxide (EO) levels and periodontitis, given the growing concern about EO's detrimental health effects.

Materials And Methods: The study included 1006 adults from the 2013-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset. We assessed periodontitis prevalence across groups, used weighted binary logistic regression and restricted cubic spline fitting for HbEO-periodontitis association, and employed Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves for prediction.

ZBTB20 Regulates SERCA2a Activity and Myocardial Contractility Through Phospholamban.

Background: Intracellular Ca cycling determines myocardial contraction and relaxation in response to physiological demands. SERCA2a (sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic reticulum Ca-ATPase 2a) is responsible for the sequestration of cytosolic Ca into intracellular stores during cardiac relaxation, and its activity is reversibly inhibited by PLN (phospholamban). However, the regulatory hierarchy of SERCA2a activity remains unclear.

Five-year follow-up of a phase 2 study of ibrutinib plus fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab as initial therapy in CLL.

We previously reported high rates of undetectable minimal residual disease <10-4 (uMRD4) with ibrutinib plus fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab (iFCR) followed by 2-year ibrutinib maintenance (I-M) in treatment-naïve chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Here, we report updated data from this phase 2 study with a median follow-up of 63 months. Of 85 patients enrolled, including 5 (6%) with deletion 17p or TP53 mutation, 91% completed iFCR and 2-year I-M.

Seawater electrolysis is an attractive way of making H in coastal areas, and NiFe-based materials are among the top options for alkaline seawater oxidation (ASO). However, ample Cl in seawater can severely corrode catalytic sites and lead to limited lifespans. Herein, we report that in situ carbon oxyanion self-transformation (COST) from oxalate to carbonate on a monolithic NiFe oxalate micropillar electrode allows safeguard of high-valence metal reaction sites in ASO.

Post-transcriptional regulation of grain weight and shape by the RBP-A-J-K complex in rice.

RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are components of the post-transcriptional regulatory system, but their regulatory effects on complex traits remain unknown. Using an integrated strategy involving map-based cloning, functional characterizations, and transcriptomic and population genomic analyses, we revealed that RBP-K (LOC_Os08g23120), RBP-A (LOC_Os11g41890), and RBP-J (LOC_Os10g33230) encode proteins that form an RBP-A-J-K complex that negatively regulates rice yield-related traits. Examinations of the RBP-A-J-K complex indicated RBP-K functions as a relatively non-specific RBP chaperone that enables RBP-A and RBP-J to function normally.

Evidence of a J/ψK_{S}^{0} Structure in B^{0}→J/ψϕK_{S}^{0} Decays.

An amplitude analysis of B^{0}→J/ψϕK_{S}^{0} decays is performed using proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. Evidence with a significance of 4.0 standard deviations of a structure in the J/ψK_{S}^{0} system, named T_{ψs1}^{θ}(4000)^{0}, is seen, with its mass and width measured to be 3991_{-10}^{+12} _{-17}^{+9}  MeV/c^{2} and 105_{-25}^{+29} _{-23}^{+17}  MeV, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.

Observation of a Resonant Structure near the D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-} Threshold in the B^{+}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}K^{+} Decay.

An amplitude analysis of the B^{+}→D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-}K^{+} decay is carried out to study for the first time its intermediate resonant contributions, using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. A near-threshold peaking structure, referred to as X(3960), is observed in the D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{-} invariant-mass spectrum with significance greater than 12 standard deviations. The mass, width, and the quantum numbers of the structure are measured to be 3956±5±10  MeV, 43±13±8  MeV, and J^{PC}=0^{++}, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.

Observation of a J/ψΛ Resonance Consistent with a Strange Pentaquark Candidate in B^{-}→J/ψΛp[over ¯] Decays.

An amplitude analysis of B^{-}→J/ψΛp[over ¯] decays is performed using 4400 signal candidates selected on a data sample of pp collisions recorded at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV with the LHCb detector, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. A narrow resonance in the J/ψΛ system, consistent with a pentaquark candidate with strangeness, is observed with high significance. The mass and the width of this new state are measured to be 4338.

Rubochingosides A - J, labdane-type diterpene glycosides from leaves of Rubus chingii.

Ten previously undescribed labdane-type triterpenoids, rubochingosides A - J (1-10), were isolated from the leaves of Rubus chingii Hu. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods. The cytotoxicity of all isolated compounds was tested against five human tumor cell lines (Bel-7402, Caski, BGC-823, A2780, and HCT-116).

However, to date, little is known about the kinetics of its deglycosylation metabolite (protopanoxadiol) (PPD) following Rh2 administration. The aim of this work was to 1) simultaneously characterise the pharmacokinetics of Rh2 and PPD following intravenous and oral Rh2 administration, 2) develop and validate a mechanism-based pharmacokinetic model to describe the deglycosylation kinetics and 3) predict the percentage of Rh2 entering the systemic circulation in PPD form.
