This Letter describes a search for narrowly resonant new physics using a machine-learning anomaly detection procedure that does not rely on signal simulations for developing the analysis selection. Weakly supervised learning is used to train classifiers directly on data to enhance potential signals. The targeted topology is dijet events and the features used for machine learning are the masses of the two jets.

Events with exactly two leptons (ee, μμ, or eμ) and two b-tagged jets that satisfy a multiparticle invariant mass requirement are selected from 36.1 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collision data taken at sqrt[s]=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2015 and 2016.

The measurements are performed using of collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2015 and 2016. Differential cross-sections are measured in a fiducial phase space defined by the presence of two charged leptons and exactly one jet matched to a -hadron, and are normalised with the fiducial cross-section.

This article presents measurements of [Formula: see text] differential cross-sections in a fiducial phase-space region, using an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb[Formula: see text] of proton-proton data at a centre-of-mass energy of [Formula: see text] TeV recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2015. Differential cross-sections are measured as a function of the transverse momentum and absolute rapidity of the top quark, and of the transverse momentum, absolute rapidity and invariant mass of the [Formula: see text] system.

The results of a search for direct pair production of top squarks in events with two opposite-charge leptons (electrons or muons) are reported, using of integrated luminosity from proton-proton collisions at TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. To cover a range of mass differences between the top squark and lighter supersymmetric particles, four possible decay modes of the top squark are targeted with dedicated selections: the decay into a -quark and the lightest chargino with , the decay into an on-shell top quark and the lightest neutralino, the three-body decay and the four-body decay . No significant excess of events is observed above the Standard Model background for any selection, and limits on top squarks are set as a function of the and masses.

The observables have been chosen to emphasize the [Formula: see text] production process and to be sensitive to effects of initial- and final-state radiation, to the different parton distribution functions, and to non-resonant processes and higher-order corrections. The dataset corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 20.

A search is reported for the pair production of a new quark b' with at least one b' decaying to a Z boson and a bottom quark. The data, corresponding to 2.0 fb(-1) of integrated luminosity, were collected from pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.

The search is based on 1.04 fb(-1) of proton-proton collisions at √[s]=7 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.

A measurement of the top-antitop production charge asymmetry is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb of collisions at [Formula: see text] TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Events are selected with a single lepton (electron or muon), missing transverse momentum and at least four jets of which at least one jet is identified as coming from a -quark.

This model function is an image of a population and can be used directly for further studies. Its building has several steps: normalisation, wavelet transform, threshold application, summation of transforms and inverse wavelet transform.

We have characterized the binding of 125I-labeled RIHB to embryonal chondrocytes in culture. No saturable, high-affinity binding can be observed on these cells.

The three central thymines were selectively 13C-labeled at the C1' position and their spin-lattice relaxation parameters R(CZ), R(CX,Y), R(HZ-->CZ), R(2HZCZ), R(2HZCX,Y) and R(HZC) were measured. Density functions were computed for two models of internal motions.

Methods: Lymphoma cells cultured on a feeder layer under hypoxic conditions grew in vitro after a latency period of 2 weeks.
We describe a t(8;14)(q24;q11) involving the T-cell receptor alpha-chain gene (TCRA) and the 3' region of the MYC protooncogene in a B-cell lymphoma. The B-cell origin of this tumor was determined by its histological architecture, by immunophenotypic analysis, and by Southern analysis of immunoglobulin gene rearrangements. An identical fragment encompassing the translocation breakpoint junction was detected through Southern analysis using both a TCRAJ and a MYC probe.
