Gastric cancer (GC) is a prominent public health issue and ranks as the third most prevalent cause of cancer-related mortality on a global scale. The role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in cancer is not yet fully understood, particularly in relation to GC development. The objective of this study was to examine the expression levels of lncRNAs in GC tissues using a bioinformatics-based ranking approach.

Background: Ventricular septal defects (VSD) is one of the most frequent congenital cardiac malformations and cardiac conduction disorders are still one of the serious postoperative complications in this surgery.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the incidence of conduction disorders with the use of continuous compared to interrupted suturing techniques in VSD surgical repair.

Patients And Methods: Previously recorded data of 231 patients who underwent surgical closure of VSD between January 2009 and January 2012 at the Rajaie cardiovascular medical and research center were retrospectively reviewed.

Comparison of bone scan with carbohydrate antigen 15-3 for evaluation of bone metastasis of brest cancer.

This study aimed at comparing the bone scan and CA15-3 titer in patients with breast cancer for evaluation of bone metastasis. Thirty five patients with definite diagnosis of breast cancer were evaluated in Tabriz Imam Khomeini Hospital from 2007 to 2008. Bone scan (99 mTc-MDP) performed in all patients.
