Background: Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is an immunosuppressant commonly used for treating autoimmune diseases.
Case Presentation: We report a diagnostically challenging case of MMF-induced colitis in a patient after 3 years of initiation of MMF therapy. A 76-year-old Caucasian female with a history of Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy receiving MMF presented to the hospital with a 7-weeks history of watery diarrhoea and crampy abdominal pains.
Introduction: Supracondylar humerus fractures (SCHFs) represent a significant segment of paediatric bone injuries, posing unique challenges due to their potential for severe complications. This study aims to provide a detailed analysis of the surgically treated SCHF cases recorded in our registry.
Materials And Methods: Prospectively collected data from seven institutes were retrospectively analysed using the Hungarian SCHF Registry, with data about surgically treated paediatric patients with SCHFs.
Response/recommendation: The use of surgical drains in routine primary total knee and total hip arthroplasty is not recommended.
