Introduction Gallbladder disease accounts for a significant percentage of surgical admissions per year. A review of these cases was done to assess their hospital impact with an evaluation of the efficacy of radiological modalities in terms of evaluation, ideal use, and clinical application. Therefore, this study aims to review the demographics of the disease, the diagnostic yield of radiological modalities, and the overall outcome in regards to the hospital policies and medical services provided in hopes of achieving suitable clinical pathways, increasing the efficiency of gallbladder disease assessment, and limiting unwarranted investigations.

To assess the clinical periodontal status of abutment teeth in regards of different design components of distal-extension removable partial dentures. Subjects (N=100) with acrylic or cobalt-chromium distal-extension removable partial dentures were enrolled and their periodontal parameters plaque and gingival indices [PI, GI], probing depths [PD], clinical attachment loss [CAL] and a mobility index [MI] evaluated. Denture base type, major connector, occlusal rests position, design of direct retainers, retention, stability and denture wearing habits were further evaluated.

The rapid growth and urbanization rate, coupled with hot climate and scarce rainfall, makes it essential for a country like Kuwait to have several power and desalination plants with high-generating capacity. These plants are entirely reliant on burning fossil fuels as a source of thermal energy. These plants are also universally accepted to be the largest CO emitters; hence, they present a potential for carbon capture and storage (CCS).

Background: The Children's Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (CEBQ) is used with parents to determine the characteristics of eating behaviour of their children and, consequently, children's propensity to become obese. It has been successfully used mainly in Western countries, but not in Saudi Arabia. In this pilot study, we explored the use of the Saudi version of the CEBQ for preschool children aged 2-6 years in Saudi Arabia, and assessed the associations between eating behaviours and children's age, gender and relative weight and parental weight.

The incidence of thyroid cancer is increasing in several countries. The main objective of this retrospective study was to find and describe province-specific estimates of incidence in males and females by age groups for differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). This study reports on 87 cases of DTC from Baluchistan province of Pakistan treated with post operative radioiodine at the Center for Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy (CENAR) Quetta from January 2003 to December 2009.
