Advanced Imaging for Congenital Left Ventricular Diverticulum in a Dog: The Role of Electrocardiosynchronous CT.

A 2-month-old Shiba Inu was presented to an emergency veterinary clinic with decreased activity and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension secondary to a ventricular septal defect. The dog was referred to the TUAT Veterinary Medical Center for further evaluation. During treatment, a diverticulum was incidentally identified at the apex of the left ventricle.

Prognostic Significance of S100A4 in Ovarian Clear Cell Carcinoma: Its Relation to Tumor Progression and Chemoresistance.

Background/objectives: S100A4, a small calcium-binding protein, promotes metastasis in a variety of human malignancies, but little is known about its involvement in ovarian clear cell carcinoma (OCCC). Herein, we characterized the functional role of S100A4 in this tumor type.

Histological chorioamnionitis (HCA) is a form of maternal immune activation (MIA) linked to an increased risk of neurodevelopmental disorders in offspring. Our previous study identified neurodevelopmental impairments in an MIA mouse model mimicking HCA. Thus, this study investigated the role of CD11c microglia, key contributors to myelination through IGF-1 production, in this pathology.

Utility of manual vacuum aspiration followed by curettage in the treating hydatidiform mole: A retrospective analysis.

Aim: While manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) is commonly employed for early first-trimester abortions, its effectiveness in treating hydatidiform mole is still unclear. This study sought to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MVA in comparison to dilation and curettage (D&C) for managing hydatidiform mole.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of medical records for 198 patients with hydatidiform mole treated at Nagoya University Hospital between 2004 and 2023.
