Cardiac dose comparison of abdominal and thoracic deep inspiration breath hold in adult female with left-sided breast cancer receiving radiation therapy: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Introduction: Deep inspiration breath hold technique has shown promise in reducing cardiac toxicity and improving patient outcomes. However, there is a lack of consensus regarding the implementation of abdominal breath hold technique and its impact on cardiac dose. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to provide insights into the comparative effectiveness of abdominal and thoracic breath hold in mitigating cardiac toxicity during radiation therapy for left-sided breast cancer.

Cohort profile: migraine exposures and cardiovascular health in Hong Kong Chinese women (MECH-HK).

Purpose: Evidence about the associations of migraine features with cardiovascular risk profiles in Chinese population is lacking. The Migraine Exposures and Cardiovascular Health in Hong Kong Chinese Women (MECH-HK) cohort was constructed to investigate longitudinal migraine features and their cardiovascular implications in Hong Kong Chinese women.

Participants: We enrolled 4221 Hong Kong Chinese women aged 30 years or above from October 2019 to December 2020.

Background: Attainment inequalities exist for ethnic minority students graduating from higher education institutes (HEIs) in the UK. Previous research has investigated the outcomes and experiences of students from ethnic minority backgrounds on health and social care programmes. However, studies exploring ethnic minority speech and language therapy (SLT) students' experiences have only focused on international students and were conducted in Australia.

Mutual communication intervention for colorectal cancer patient-spousal caregiver dyads: A randomized controlled trial.

Objective: Gender could impact the psychosocial outcomes and coping strategies of cancer patients and their spousal caregivers (SCs). This study aims to develop a gender-concerned program for colorectal cancer (CRC) couple-based mutual communication intervention (MCI) and to assess its effectiveness on the intra-couple relationship and the individual functions of the partners.

Design: A randomized clinical trial with two study groups was utilized.
