Analysis of hyperspectral images is of great interest in plant studies. Nowadays, this analysis is used more and more widely, so the development of hyperspectral image processing methods is an urgent task. This paper presents a hyperspectral image processing pipeline that includes: preprocessing, basic statistical analysis, visualization of a multichannel hyperspectral image, and solving classification and clustering problems using machine learning methods.

Polyphenol oxidase (PPO) is an oxidoreductase. In damaged plant tissues, it catalyzes enzymatic browning by oxidizing -diphenols to highly reactive -quinones, which polymerize producing heterogeneous dark polymer melanin. In intact tissues, functions of PPO are not well understood.

In the present work, by means of computer simulation, we studied the adsorption and diffusion of polyelectrolyte macromolecules on oppositely charged surfaces. We considered the surface coverage and the charge of the adsorbed layer depending on the ionization degree of the macromolecules and the charge of the surface and carried out a computer experiment on the polymer diffusion within the adsorbed layers, taking into account its strong dependency on the surface coverage and the macromolecular ionization degree. The different regimes were distinguished that provided maximal mobility of the polymer chains along with a high number of charged groups in the layer, which could be beneficial for the development of the functional coatings.

Barley ( L.) grain pigmentation is caused by two types of phenolic compounds: anthocyanins (which are flavonoids) give a blue or purple color, and melanins (which are products of enzymatic oxidation and polymerization of phenolic compounds) give a black or brown color. Genes and determine the synthesis of purple anthocyanins in the grain pericarp, whereas melanins are formed under the control of the gene in hulls and pericarp tissues.
