Objective: The outer false lumen wall (FLW) changes from thin/compliant to thick/rigid as aortic dissection transitions from the acute to chronic phase. This study investigates biomechanical stiffness and histological changes of the FLW as the dissected aorta ages.
Methods: The free outer FLW from human tissue was analyzed from chronic type B dissection (chronic-FLW) n = 10, acute type A dissection (acute-FLW) n = 10, and transplant donor descending aorta that was manually peeled into 2 layers (control-FLW) n = 17.
Background: Concussions have previously been shown to have persistent neurological changes represented by altered reaction time and postural stability in high-level athletes. The effects of concussions on professional basketball players' performance and subsequent injuries during the 90 days after return to play (RTP) have not been investigated.
Purpose/hypothesis: the purpose of this study was to evaluate player statistical performance and risk of musculoskeletal (MSK) injury within 90 days of RTP from a diagnosed concussion.
Background Objectives: India is both a tropical and subtropical region, where common causes of acute undifferentiated febrile illness (AUFI) include malaria, dengue fever, chikungunya fever, enteric fever, leptospirosis, scrub typhus, and Japanese encephalitis. These illnesses contribute significantly to patient morbidity and mortality, although the exact burden of each infection varies regionally. Given the high prevalence of these tropical diseases, prioritizing differential diagnoses in cases of AUFI is crucial.

Materials And Methods: Seventy-five patients with single visit root canal treated teeth with accidental extrusion of sealer were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and were allocated into three equal groups based on different base endodontic sealers used during obturation; Grossman, Sealapex™, and Seal-pex. Radiographic evaluation was done to assess periapical healing and rate of resorption at baseline, 1, 3, and 6 months.
