Lupus nephritis (LN) is a serious problem that results from systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) complications. Recent studies have highlighted that non-coding RNA (ncRNA) dysregulation is a notable feature in patients with SLE. As a result, this research was designed to investigate lncRNA CASC2 and miR-155 levels as non-invasive diagnostic biomarkers in SLE patients, including those with and without nephritis, and to investigate their effectiveness in assessing disease severity and predicting LN.

Objectives: The aim of the current study was to evaluate the functional outcomes of stapler pharyngeal closure after total laryngectomy by the incidence of PCT and assessment of swallowing after surgery. In addition, the study aimed to evaluate the oncological outcomes in terms of patients' survival rates.

Methods: This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 58 patients with advanced laryngeal carcinoma who underwent total laryngectomy.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the degree of discrepancy between the clinical and pathological staging of laryngeal carcinoma, and the potential impact of this discrepancy on the outcomes and prognosis.

Methods: This study was conducted on 127 patients who underwent total laryngectomy over five years (October 2016-October 2021). Data collected from pretherapeutic clinical staging regarding the extent of the tumor affection of different laryngeal subsites was compared to the postsurgical pathological assessment.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to assess the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) landscape and the impact of COVID-19 on AMR in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, and to gather expert opinions on the barriers to the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) initiatives in the region.

Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire survey was used to assess the current AMR landscape, existing AMS initiatives, barriers to implementing AMS initiatives, and the impact of COVID-19 on AMR in the four countries.

Results: The survey was completed by 204 physicians from Egypt (n = 82), Lebanon (n = 49), Iraq (n = 43), and Jordan (n = 30).

This study aimed to explore the potential of Host-Guest coupling with Nanocarrier graphyne (GPH) to enhance the bioavailability of the drug 1-(2-chloroethyl)-3-cyclohexyl-1-nitrosourea (LUM) for brain tumor therapy. The electronic, geometric, and excited-state properties of GPH, LUM, and the graphyne@1-(2-chloroethyl)-3-cyclohexyl-1-nitrosourea-complex (GPH@LUM-complex) were studied using DFT B3LYP/6-31G** level of theory. The results showed that the GPH@LUM-complex was stable with negative adsorption energy (-0.
