Within every paediatric respiratory and general paediatric clinic there will be a number of children and families who are exposed to sub-standard environments within their homes. This may be impacting on their health and in particular, respiratory health. As clinicians it is important that we are aware of the risks to health, how to address it and act as advocates for patients.

Methods: In this study, we examined a range of child and family predictors of various types of anxiety using a sample of 452 autistic children from the Australian Autism Biobank. We used logistic regression to examine child and family predictors of four common types of anxiety in autistic children: generalised, phobic, separation, and social anxiety.
Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is a DNA virus that causes Kaposi's sarcoma, a cancer of endothelial origin. KSHV uses the activity of host molecular chaperones like Hsp70 and Hsp90 for the folding of host and viral proteins required for productive infection. Hsp70 and Hsp90 chaperones form proteostasis networks with several regulatory proteins known as co-chaperones.

This spatial separation enables a subset of components to be concentrated within biomolecular condensates, allowing efficient and discrete processes to occur which regulate cellular function. One such nuclear body, paraspeckles, are comprised of multiple paraspeckle proteins (PSPs) built around the architectural RNA, NEAT1_2.
