The Alzheimer's disease (AD) continuum is characterized by amyloid and tau protein deposition, which is partly attributable to the dysfunction of the brain clearance system. However, the specific phase in the AD continuum wherein aberrant clearance is present remains unclear. This study aimed to assess noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) indices related to brain clearance functions, such as choroid plexus volume (CPV), lateral ventricular volume (LVV), and the index of diffusivity along the perivascular space (ALPS index), across the Alzheimer's disease (AD) spectrum.

Data on the potential clinical benefits of combining induction chemotherapy (IC) and sequential definitive chemoradiotherapy for this condition is limited.
Methods: We retrospectively investigated T4 nasoethmoidal SCC patients who underwent proton or photon chemoradiotherapy with curative intent at the National Cancer Center Hospital East between April 2014 and May 2022.

Purpose: This study aims to elucidate the incidence of cancer-related post-traumatic stress (PTS) and the fluctuations in anxiety and depression levels before and one year after laryngectomy.
Methods: A prospective longitudinal study was conducted on 97 consecutive patients scheduled to undergo laryngectomy (total laryngectomy or pharyngolaryngectomy) at a single university hospital between 2007 and 2022. To assess cancer-related PTS, anxiety, and depression, participants completed two brief self-reported questionnaires: the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).
Introduction: The QT interval, a critical parameter in electrocardiography (ECG), is challenging to analyze accurately because of variations in T-wave morphology, especially in long-term ECG recordings, such as Holter monitoring. Current methods, which are often manual or semi-automated, lack consistency and efficiency, underscoring the need for a more reliable and automated approach.
Methods: We developed a novel QT interval analysis algorithm that integrates K-shape clustering with Dynamic Time Warping under Limited Warping Path Length for template matching.
Raman spectroscopy is a non-destructive spectroscopic technique that provides complex molecular information. It is used to examine the physiological and pathological responses of living cells, such as differentiation, malignancy, and inflammation. The responses of two cellular states, initial and full-blown inflammation, have mainly been investigated using a comparative analysis with Raman spectra.
