Defining an Undergraduate Radiation Oncology Microclerkship Using the Delphi Method.

Purpose: Many medical students in the US lack formal exposure to radiation oncology (RO). In contrast to multi-week electives, microclerkships, defined here as brief (<1 week) observerships, could provide exposure to RO. The primary objective of this study was to establish expert consensus for the duration, curriculum, target audience, and goals/objectives of an RO microclerkship.

Hospital-Acquired Complications in Critically Ill Children and PICU Length of Stay, Duration of Respiratory Support, and Economics: Propensity Score Matching in a Single-Center Cohort, 2015-2020.

Objectives: To identify the health and economic costs of hospital-acquired complications (HACs) in children who require PICU admission.

Design: Propensity score matched cohort study analyzing routinely collected medical and costing data collected by the health service over 6 years (2015-2020).

Setting: Tertiary referral PICU in Queensland, Australia.

Review of Emotion Regulation in Late Life Mood Disorders.

Emotion regulation (ER), or the ability to modulate the experience and expression of emotion, is critical to adaptive functioning and is a key feature of mood disorders. At the same time, normal aging is associated with changes in ER, though the interaction of aging with the presence of a mood disorder are unclear. Here, we review what is known about ER and its underlying neural mechanisms in late life mood disorders, specifically late life depression and bipolar disorder.
