Anaphase is tightly controlled spatiotemporally to ensure proper separation of chromosomes. The mitotic spindle, the self-organized microtubule structure driving chromosome segregation, scales in size with the available cytoplasm. Yet, the relationship between spindle size and chromosome movement remains poorly understood.

Objective: To examine the effects of Jintiange on enhancing the healing of osteoporotic fractures in aged rats.
Methods: An osteoporotic fracture model of femur was established using 70 SD rats (aged > 12 months), which were randomly numbered and divided into an experimental group and a control group, each with an equal sample size (n = 35). The experimental group received Jintiange capsule ingredients via intragastric administration, while the control group received an equal volume of saline via the same method.

Background: We aimed to develop and validate models for predicting intensive care unit (ICU) mortality of critically ill adult patients as early as upon ICU admission.
Methods: Combined data of 79,657 admissions from two teaching hospitals' ICU databases were used to train and validate the machine learning models to predict ICU mortality upon ICU admission and at 24 h after ICU admission by using logistic regression, gradient boosted trees (GBT), and deep learning algorithms.
Results: In the testing dataset for the admission models, the ICU mortality rate was 7%, and 38.
This article summarizes and compares 18 sets of guidelines for adult obesity treatment, highlighting key recommendations for patient evaluation, lifestyle intervention, anti-obesity medications (AOMs), and metabolic and bariatric surgery. Guidelines are consistent in many regards, although there is divergence regarding preferred AOMs. Metabolic and bariatric surgery is still recognized as the most durable form of obesity treatment, and newer guidelines suggest these procedures at lower BMI thresholds for people with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes.

However, due to its rarity, the molecular pathways driving its development are not well understood. To address this knowledge gap, we performed molecular inversion probe (MIP) array analysis and targeted sequencing of 275 cancer susceptibility genes on 11 ovarian SCC samples derived from MOTs.
