Background: Interhospital transfer (IHT) for acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is increasingly performed to improve access to advanced reperfusion therapies. It is unclear if outcomes of patients undergoing IHT are comparable with those of patients presenting in-house to hospitals with PE Response Team (PERT) capabilities.

Objectives: To determine whether outcomes of patients with acute PE undergoing IHT differ from those of patients presenting in-house.

Rubidium-82 (Rb) is a radioactive isotope widely used for cardiac PET imaging. Despite numerous benefits of Rb, there are several factors that limits its image quality and quantitative accuracy. First, the short half-life of Rb results in noisy dynamic frames.

The present study focuses on the Ría de Vigo (NW Spain), a coastal embayment influenced by the Canary Current Upwelling System, which is among the world's significant Eastern Boundary Upwelling Ecosystems. The research assesses historical changes in the marine carbonate system by generating 25-year weekly time series at six stations . Assessing ocean acidification in the region is complex due to diverse factors influencing coastal carbon dynamics, making predictions more challenging.

Background: Management of PE has become streamlined with the implementation of PE Response Teams (PERT). Race, ethnicity and insurance status are known to influence the outcomes of patients with acute PE. However, whether the implementation of PERT-based care mitigates these racial and ethnic disparities remains unknown.

SPECT systems distinguish radionuclides by using multiple energy windows. For CZT detectors, the energy spectrum has a low energy tail leading to additional crosstalk between the radionuclides. Previous work developed models to correct the scatter and crosstalk for CZT-based dedicated cardiac systems with similar Tc/I tracer distributions.
