Background And Aims: Ultrasound-guided subclavian vein cannulation has two approaches: supraclavicular and infraclavicular. The aim of this study was to compare the ease of cannulation by recording the puncture time of the subclavian vein with the two approaches in adult patients.

Material And Methods: This study was approved by our institutional ethics committee, and a written informed consent was obtained from the patients.

Around 50 million tonnes of electronic waste has been generated globally per year, causing an environmental hazard and negative effects on human health, such as infertility and thyroid disorders in adults, endocrine and neurological damage in both animals and humans, and impaired mental and physical development in children. Out of that, only 15% is recycled each year and the remaining is disposed of in a landfill, illegally traded or burned, and treated in a sub-standard way. The processes of recycling are challenged by the presence of brominated flame retardants.

Comparison of PESI, echocardiogram, CTPA, and NT-proBNP as risk stratification tools in patients with acute pulmonary embolism.

Objective: The aim of this study is to prospectively assess the diagnostic accuracy of pulmonary embolism severity index, echocardiogram, computed tomography pulmonary angiogram (CTPA), and N-terminal pro b-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) for predicting adverse events in acute pulmonary embolism patients.

Methods: Thirty consecutive acute pulmonary embolism patients were included in this study. Combined adverse events consisted of in-hospital death or use of escalation of care including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, vasopressor therapy, or secondary thrombolysis during hospital stay.

Primary percutaneous coronary intervention is an effective treatment, yet little is known about its feasibility and outcome in India.

Transcatheter device closure of multiple defects in ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm.

Ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm (SOVA) with multiple communications, ventricular septal defect, and aortic regurgitation are still best treated surgically. We report a case of 30-year-old male with right SOVA, with two communications with right ventricle. Both communications were successfully closed using antegrade and retrograde approaches, respectively.
