Aim: To determine the pattern and changes of psychoemotional states in 94 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) and to study their relationship to glycemic values in its different clinical characteristics.
Subjects And Methods: Ninety-four patients (63 women and 31 men) with type 1 (n=20) and type 2 (n=74) DM who had received a course of planned hospital treatment in the Vladikavkaz Endocrinology Dispensary in the period 2006 to 2010 were examined. The psychodiagnostic procedure "GSAM" to evaluate their general state, activity, and mood and the Lŭscher color test were used.
In a series of articles the authors discuss literature data concerning epidemiology of pulmonary hypertension, modern classification; peculiarities of its pathogenesis and treatment in various diseases and conditions. In the second part they consider peculiarities of pathogenesis of pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular failure in patients with predominant involvement of left cardiac chambers. Effects of various classes of drugs used in the treatment of left ventricular heart failure including their influence on pulmonary circulation and functional state of the right ventricle are also discussed.

Pharmacokinetic properties of candesartan explain its pronounced and lengthy (24-36 hours) antihypertensive action which does not depend on patients sex, age and body mass. Long term use of candesartan has been associated with regression of left ventricular hypertrophy, renoprotective effect and lowered risk of stroke.

The diagnostic capacities of 99mTc-pyrophosphate plane myocardial scintigraphy versus 99mTc-pyrophosphate single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) were compared. Recording right precordial ECG leads showed that 26 patients had right ventricular myocardial infarction (MI)-typical changes as ST-segment evaluation, followed by abnormal Q wave. Plane scintigraphy indicated a characteristic inclusion of 99mTc-pyrophosphate into the right ventricular myocardium in 18.
