[Neurometabolic therapy of mild cognitive impairment in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia].

Objective: To evaluate the effect of a sequential therapy regimen with Mexidol (500 mg injections intravenously for 14 days) and Mexidol FORTE 250 (250 mg tablets 3 times a day for 60 days) on higher cortical functions in patients with moderate cognitive disorders in chronic cerebral ischemia.

Material And Methods: A comparative, prospective study included 63 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia with moderate cognitive impairment. All patients received basic therapy aimed at reducing risk factors (antihypertensive, antithrombotic drugs as indicated).

[Phospholipid membrane resistance in the direction of the surface of the layer].

A technique for measurement of lateral resistance of phospholipid bilayer membranes of two types is described. The specific resistance of membranes with artificial structure (polar groups located inside the bilayer) depended on the content of adsorbed water and temperature. The specific resistance of membranes with natural structure (polar groups located on the bilayer surface) depended on temperature and did not exceed 10(3) Om .

[Hybrids of triticale and agrotriticum. II].

Meiosis in F1 plants of Triticale X Agrotriticum hybrids with 56- and 63-chromosomes and different genome composition is shown to be strongly violated. The following main anomalies of meiosis were revealed: the univalent state of chromosomes; an irregular movement of 8 to 33 chromosomes to the poles; the lag of 6 to 25 chromosomes and their premature splitting into chromatids; formation of micronuclei in diads and tetrads, formation of polyads. The average number of bivalents per one cell was 14.
