[The oxidation resistance of the blood serum heparin-precipitated beta-lipoproteins in myocardial infarct patients].

Oxidation resistance of heparin-precipitated serum beta-lipoproteins (beta-LP) has been assessed in patients with myocardial infarction. Twenty-three men aged 38-66 years with myocardial infarction and 35 healthy men aged 35-49 years were examined. beta-LP were isolated by heparin precipitation and the initial level of lipid peroxides was measured and oxidation resistance assessed after incubation with 50 microM copper ions.
