Article Synopsis
  • A study identified six strains of ice-nucleating bacteria with site-specific endonucleases from a collection of 45 strains found in plant rhizospheres.
  • Three endonucleases (Pfl211I, Psp8I, Psp23I) were isolated from two types of Pseudomonas bacteria, including Pseudomonas fluorescens.
  • Endonucleases Pfl21I and Psp23I target the DNA sequence 5'-CTGCA decrease G-3', while Psp8I targets 5'-G decrease GATCC-3', and exhibit similarities to established endonucleases PstI and BamHI.
