Retrospective Analysis of Lipid-Lowering and Antiplatelet Therapy Regimen by Clinical Decision Support Service Based on Real-World Data from Electronic Medical Records "Intellect 3 Study".

Aim      To evaluate prescription of lipid-lowering and antithrombotic therapy in clinical practice and to compare differences in recommendations using the clinical decision support service (CDSS).Material and methods  Electronic medical records (EMR) of 300 patients from the Chazov National Medical Research Center of Cardiology, as well as from medical organizations controlled by the Department of Health of the Lipetsk Region and the Ministry of Health of the Voronezh Region, were analyzed for the period of August - December 2022, during the pilot implementation of CDSS. Retrospective information about the prescription of lipid-lowering and antithrombotic therapy from the EMR was compared with the CDSS guidelines under the expert supervision based on digitized clinical and laboratory profiles of patients.

The Role of Insulin Resistance in the Development of Complications after Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease.

Unlabelled: The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of carbohydrate metabolism disorders and insulin resistance indices on the immediate results of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).

Method: Patients with coronary artery disease who underwent CABG ( = 383) were examined to determine glycemic status, free fatty acid and fasting insulin levels, and insulin resistance indices (Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR), McAuley index, Quantitative Insulin Sensitivity Check Index (QUICKI), Revised-QUICKI). Patients were assessed for the development of perioperative complications and their length of stay in the hospital.

Cardiometabolic Effects of Empagliflozin in Patients Undergoing Elective Percu-taneous Coronary Intervention for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Aim      To evaluate cardiometabolic effects of empagliflozin in patients with ischemic heart disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) following elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Materials and methods Patients meeting the inclusion/non-inclusion criteria were randomized into two groups of equal number using simple randomization with successively assigned numbers. Group 1 included 37 patients (18 men and 19 women) who gave their consent for the treatment with empagliflozin 10 mg/day in addition to their previous hypoglycemic therapy.

Screening for Glucose Metabolism Disorders, Assessment the Disse Insulin Resistance Index and Hospital Prognosis of Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery.

Objective: To study insulin resistance markers and their relationship with preoperative status and hospital complications of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in patients with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and normoglycemia.

Methods: We included 383 consecutive patients who underwent CABG. Patients were divided into two groups-with carbohydrate metabolism disorders (CMD, = 192) and without CMD ( = 191).

[Analysis of the causes of repeat stenosis of the coronary arteries after elective stenting in patients with stable angina pectoris].

Aim: Coronary stenting is the evidence-based treatment approach of stable angina. The objective was to determine the incidence of restenosis or atherosclerosis progression which led to the need for coronary angiography according to a single center registry data.

Materials And Methods: The procedure and clinical data of 3732 (2897 males) consecutive stable coronary artery disease patients undergoing coronary stenting, over five years between March 2010 and September 2014, were subject of this study.
