Objective: To explore the lived experiences and extent of cognitive symptoms in Long COVID (LC) in a UK-based sample.

Design: This study implemented a mixed-methods design. Eight focus groups were conducted to collect qualitative data, and the Framework Analysis was used to reveal the experiences and impact of cognitive symptoms.

Safety and Outcomes of Percutaneous Dilatational Tracheostomy in Patients with Hematologic Malignancies: A Retrospective Cohort Study.

: Patients with hematologic malignancy (HM) often experience high rates of thrombocytopenia, thrombocytopathy, anemia, leukopenia, and coagulopathy, which can significantly increase the risk of procedural and postoperative complications. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and outcomes of percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy (PDT) in critically ill patients with HM. : This retrospective cohort study included patients with HM who underwent PDT between 2012 and 2023 at a tertiary academic center.

Toxoplasmal meningoencephalitis in a 14 week-old shelter cat with presumed feline infectious peritonitis.

Toxoplasmal meningoencephalitis is a sporadic condition that is often misdiagnosed antemortem, frequently resulting in euthanasia especially in resource-limited settings. Here we report a case of a 7-week-old female domestic shorthair cat from an animal shelter who presented in a compromised condition and continued to display clinical signs consistent with a "failure to thrive" kitten. Weight loss and decreased activity were observed, and later on, neurological dysfunction became apparent.

Using Classifiers To Predict Catalyst Design for Polyketone Microstructure.

We applied a classifier method to predict palladium catalysts for the formation of nonalternating polyketones via the copolymerization of CO and ethylene; current examples are limited to using phosphine sulfonate and diphosphazane monoxide supporting ligands. With the reported workflow, we discovered two new classes of palladium complexes capable of achieving the synthesis of nonalternating polyketones with a lower CO content than those made by known palladium catalysts. Our results show that we doubled the number of classes of palladium compounds that can catalyze the formation of this type of polymer.

Posttraumatic resilience and growth: A network analysis of character strengths among sexual assault survivors.

Objective: Defined as dispositional qualities that elevate well-being, character strengths such as love and kindness can be developed and enhanced to improve quality of life. Yet, little is known how specific strengths are associated with posttrauma mental health. The present study explored their concurrent associations with posttraumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) and posttraumatic growth (PTG) in a sample of 405 women sexual assault survivors.
