SCORE2 (Systematic COronary Risk Evaluation 2) is a risk assessment scale for cardiovascular events, presented in 2021 by the European Society of Cardiology. Both for training and validation of the SCORE2 model, representative samples from the Russian population were not used. Therefore, we aimed to validate SCORE2 on a such sample.

By reacting a series of 2,6-diacetylpyridine bis-hydrazones containing pyrimidine (H2L1), benzimidazole (H2L2) and phthalazine (H2L3) heterocyclic fragments with copper(II) chloride and bromide, a variety of pentacoordinated complexes of the composition , and , where X = Cl, Br, are formed. The properties and structure of the compounds were studied by means of NMR, IR, UV-vis, ESR, and X-ray absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and X-Ray single crystal diffraction methods. It was shown that complexes of the cationic type have an asymmetric structure with a distorted square-pyramidal geometry of the coordination unit.

The goal of our study was to examine the effects of the regional characteristics of the living environment on individual a priori and a posteriori dietary patterns of the Russian population. For the analysis, we used cross-sectional data from the Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases in the Regions of the Russian Federation study from 2013-2014. The sample included 18,054 men and women 25-64 years of age from 12 regions.

The study of the characteristics and dynamics of laboratory biomarkers in patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD) with type 2 diabetes mellitus who underwent COVID-19-associated pneumonia is of great clinical importance for preventing the risk of adverse events. IN the study we used data from 65 patients in the present work. Patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 included patients with CVD: arterial hypertension (AH) in combination with coronary artery disease (CAD) without DM2 (n=45), group 2 included patients with CVD and DM2 (n=20).

Article Synopsis
  • The study analyzed 116 patients with COVID-19-associated pneumonia, dividing them into two groups: 49 without cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and 67 with CVD, investigating various blood parameters and inflammation biomarkers at hospitalization and three months post-discharge.
  • Key findings included that certain inflammatory and hemostatic markers like CRP, ESR, and WBC remained elevated in the CVD group, indicating a persistent inflammatory state even after recovery compared to those without CVD.
  • Correlation analysis showed a link between inflammation markers and the extent of lung damage, emphasizing the importance of monitoring these biomarkers for predicting disease progression in CVD patients facing COVID-19-associated pneumonia.
