The objective of the present study was to estimate the influence of halotherapy performed in a specialized salt room on the health status of the children frequently ill with acute respiratory diseases. The application of halotherapy was shown to produce well-apparent antiinflammatory, draining, and sanogenic effects. Observations during 1, 3, 5, and 12 month follow-up periods confirmed the persistence of prophylactic and therapeutic effects of salt therapy.

The authors' studies show pathogenetic validity of using aromaphytotherapy in children predisposed to acute respiratory diseases. Courses of essential oils aromaphytotherapy produce a wide spectrum of physiological changes reducing frequency of the respiratory diseases, exacerbations of chronic ENT diseases in children.
