Some aspects of homeostasis impairment in monkeys infected with Pseudomonas mallei were investigated. The levels of the hormonal shifts, complement components, beta 2-microglobulin and prostaglandins evident of the infection severity were estimated. The pathomorphological profiles of various forms of malleus in the primates were studied.

The time course of the clinical, biochemical and serological indices was studied during the treatment of malleus in monkeys. The internal organs of the animals infected with Pseudomonas mallei were investigated pathomorphologically. The efficacy of the biseptol/oxalinic acid combination in the therapy of malleus was estimated.

It was revealed that morphofunctional alterations were uniform in nature, being more demonstrable in chronic exposure during 6 months. Myocardial alterations were characterized by disturbed hemodynamics, dystrophy, focal myocarditis, changes in the activity of enzymes, and changes in the electrocardio- and rheovasographic readings.
