Background: Posterior component separation with transversus abdominis release (TAR) is a valuable adjunct to address incisional hernia defects. Currently, bilateral docking is a standard technique for robotic TAR. The aim of this study is to describe our technique for extended totally extraperitoneal (eTEP) repair with bilateral TAR through a bottom single-dock robotic approach for hernias at the level of the umbilicus or higher.

This connection suggests that LRRK2 kinase inhibition, a therapeutic strategy being explored for Parkinson's disease, may also benefit patients with CD. Paneth cell homeostasis is tightly regulated by autophagy, and their dysfunction is a precursor to gut inflammation in CD.

The platform of Interprofessional Education (IPE), recognized as a pedagogical platform for delivering the principles of One Health, embodies the benefits of collaboration to address critical emerging public health issues, including the emergence of vector-borne zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, food security and defense and the impacts of climatic change. A phenomenological methodology, which is used to understand individuals lived experience, elicited veterinary students' perceptions of the benefits of interprofessional learning.

Here, we evaluated the long-term outcomes of elective contaminated ventral hernia repairs (based on Centers of Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] wound classification) using real-world data from a multicenter US cohort, focusing on quality of life and postoperative pain.
Methods: The Abdominal Core Health Quality Collaborative database was queried for patients undergoing elective contaminated (CDC class II-IV) ventral hernia repair (2013-2023).
