Background:  Discrepancy in factor IX activity (FIX:C) between one-stage assay (OSA) and chromogenic substrate assay (CSA) in patients with hemophilia B (PwHB) introduces challenges for clinical management.

Aim:  To study the differences in FIX:C using OSA and CSA in moderate and mild hemophilia B (HB), their impact on classification of severity, and correlation with genotype.

Methods:  Single-center study including 21 genotyped and clinically characterized PwHB.

Objectives: To query the experience of oral surgeons concerning referral routines and preferences for radiographic imaging modality before surgical removal of mandibular third molars and investigate factors that influence imaging modality preferences.

Materials And Methods: Members of the Swedish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (n = 280) were invited to participate in a web-based digital survey concerning their experiences and use of three imaging modalities in pre-surgical assessment of mandibular third molar removal. The survey comprised multiple-choice questions and four cases depicted in images; respondents reported whether they would supplement the cases with other images and, if so, from which modality.

The aim of this systematic review is to present an up-to-date review of available publications investigating the cellular mechanisms initiating the development of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw caused by zoledronic acid. Electronic searches of MEDLINE/PubMed and Scopus were conducted on the 3 June 2019. A total of 804 publications were identified, of which 11 met the inclusion criteria and were, therefore, included in this study.

The purpose was to investigate whether a new biphasic and injectable ceramic bone substitute Cerament™ that rapidly remodels to bone, may contribute to the retention of titanium implant screws during the healing period, and to analyze the pattern of bone formation around titanium implants.Titanium screws were implanted in rat tibiae and embedded with or without Cerament™ on the cortical surface. Torsional resistance was measured after 1 day, and after 6 and 12 weeks.

Purpose: To estimate and compare the costs of maxillary sinus augmentation performed with autologous bone graft either from the iliac crest or from local bone harvested from the mandibula. To evaluate post-operative health-related quality-of-life parameters for patients subjected to sinus augmentation and iliac bone surgery.

Material And Methods: The hospital records of 14 patients subjected to sinus augmentation with iliac autograft, and 14 patients treated with local autograft, were analysed with regard to costs related to surgery, hospitalization and sick leave.
