Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of canine visceral leishmaniasis by molecular and serological techniques among owned dogs brought to veterinary clinics in the Muğla region of Turkey.

Methods: Blood samples were collected from a total of 131 dogs of different breeds and gender that were brought to veterinary clinics between October 2017 and November 2018 in the Muğla region. These blood samples were analysed using immunofluorescent antibody test (IFAT) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Background And Purpose: Complex regional pain syndrome type I (CPRS I), is a complex of symptoms characterized by diffuse pain usually with associated swelling, vasomotor instability, and severe functional impairment of the affected extremity in stroke patients. Prevalence of abnormalities in thyroid hormones and thyroid autoantibodies in patients with a history of early pregnancy loss (EPL) (n = 17) and unexplained infertility (UI) (n = 25), were compared with that of 45 control patients. TSH, antithyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) and antithyroglobulin (anti-TG) antibody levels in UI and EPL groups were similar to that of the control group. TSH was normal in 39, 22 and 13 of control, UI and EPL patients, respectively.
