Background And Aim: The present survey aimed to explore northern Saudi medical students' perceptions and sociodemographic influencing factors in choosing ophthalmology as a career specialty to determine if they are in alignment with the health sector transformation program of the Vision 2030 initiative.
Methods: This study was conducted among 384 medical students from two universities in northern Saudi Arabia (KSA). We used a standard and validated questionnaire to collect the required data.
Background: In orthodontic treatment, it is most important to assess the patient's perspective of malocclusion because these perceptions are fundamental to determining the patient's demands and level of treatment satisfaction. This study was done to assess the knowledge and perception of residents of the Aljouf Region of Saudi Arabia seeking orthodontic treatment. Furthermore, we determined the factors associated with the patients' knowledge and perception of orthodontic treatment.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAmbient noise measurements from an Arctic fjord during summer and winter are analyzed using spectral, coherence, and directionality estimates from a vertically separated pair of hydrophones. The primary noise sources attributed to wind, shipping, and ice activity are categorized and coherence is arrived at. Estimates of the noise field directionality in the vertical and its variation over time and between seasons are used to strengthen the analysis of the time-varying nature of noise sources.

Body shape concerns in female adolescents can lead to body dissatisfaction and other mental health issues. Using a cross-sectional study design, we evaluated the frequency of binge eating behavior, body shape concerns, and associated factors among 400 female adolescents.
