In this work, the interaction behaviour of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with o-phenylenediamine (OPD) was studied to ascertain the nanozyme-substrate interaction. The UV-Vis absorption, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and zeta potential analysis revealed that the electron-rich nitrogen atoms in OPD showed a stronger affinity toward electron-deficient surface, indicating a stronger interaction between nanozyme and substrate molecules. Subsequently, under optimum conditions, AuNPs are used as nanozyme to catalyze the oxidation of OPD in the presence of HO.

Dauers can survive in harsh conditions for several months. They resume their development on returning to favourable conditions.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFInsulin alters several brain functions, and perturbations in insulin levels could be a precipitating factor for Parkinson's disease, a disease associated with the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons. It is unclear whether insulin alters the dopamine signaling pathway and modulates learning and memory. In Caenorhabditis elegans, daf-2 insulin receptor mutants have extended memory when trained for olfactory adaptation.

Learning and memory are fundamental processes for an organism's normal physiological function. Learning can occur at any stage of the organism's physiological development. Imprinted memories formed during the early developmental stage, unlike learning and memory, can last a lifetime.

However, calcium imaging in is challenging due to the difficulties associated with immobilizing the organism.
