Penetrating thoracic injuries, especially those affecting cardiac structures, are rare but can be life-threatening, requiring urgent medical care. Right atrium injuries pose significant risks, including rapid blood loss, cardiac tamponade, hemodynamic instability, and, subsequently, potential death. We report the case of a 24-year-old male patient with stab wounds leading to a right-sided chest penetration three hours prior to presentation.

Methods: This multicentric retrospective study included 195 patients with clinical N0 advanced laryngeal carcinoma who underwent total laryngectomy and/or total pharyngolaryngectomy over 5 years. The number of lymph nodes extracted (LNY) and the number of positive nodes were counted.

The goal of the article is to demonstrate that using navigation technologies in inserting anterior odontoid screws can enhance the precision and safety of surgery. We describe a novel approach for anterior C2 odontoid fixation using a three-pin radiolucent Mayfield clamp with intra-operative CT registration and cranial brainlab navigation.
