Objectives: The aim of the study was to assess the symptoms of women and to describe the relationship between women's attitude towards menopause and quality of life.

Methods: This study was conducted from November 2010 to April 2011 at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine and 494 women agreed to participate in the study. Women's attitudes towards menopause and quality of life were evaluated by Menopause-specific Quality of Life (MENQOL) questionnaires.

An advanced state of nausea and vomiting, which are common symptoms of early pregnancy, is known as hyperemesis gravidarum and may result in dehydration, ketonuria, catabolism and require hospitalisation. Aetiological factors include increased hCG and steroids, multiple pregnancy and vitamin deficiency. Differential diagnosis of nausea and vomiting should be made and supportive treatment as well as antiemetic therapy is recommended.

Fetal goiter can be the result of maternal hyperthyroidism treated with antithyroid drugs. Polyhydramnios may be the presenting symptom and can be diagnosed prenatally by sonography. We report a case of fetal goiter diagnosed at 30 weeks of gestation and fetal hypothyroidism confirmed by cordocentesis.
