Background: Biomarkers for psychological stress have been examined and the "gut-microbiota-brain axis" is currently attracting attention. An intervention study reported improvements in both the intestinal environment and psychological stress. However, the relationship between psychological stress scores and urinary 5-hydroxytryptamine (u-5-HT), produced by enterochromaffin cells in the intestinal tract, has not yet been investigated over time in healthy subjects under psychological stress.

Odontogenic keratocysts (OKCs) are locally aggressive cysts that exhibit typical histopathological features and have a propensity for recurrence. Though histological variations are observed in OKCs, hard tissue formation and metaplastic changes are rare, and the underlying pathogenesis is not well understood. This study aimed to characterize stromal calcifications and analyze their association with odontogenic components in non-syndromic and syndrome-associated cases of OKCs.

Plants recognize a variety of external signals and induce appropriate mechanisms to increase their tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Precise recognition of attacking pathogens and induction of effective resistance mechanisms are critical functions for plant survival. Some molecular patterns unique to a certain group of microbes, microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs), are sensed by plant cells as nonself molecules via pattern recognition receptors.

During the early development of tetrapods, including humans, the embryonic body elongates caudally once the anterior-posterior axis is established. During this process, region-specific vertebral morphogenesis occurs, with the determination of limb positioning along the anterior-posterior axis. We previously reported that functions as an anatomical integration system that determines the positioning of hindlimbs and sacral vertebrae where is expressed.
