View Article and Find Full Text PDFReported herein is the X-ray crystallographic structure of a novel 10-oxygenated secotrinervitane diterpene, 3 alpha, 10 alpha-diacetoxy-7,16-secotrinervita-7,11,15(17)-triene (4), from soldiers of the endemic Madagascan termite Nasutitermes canaliculatus, which was compared with an energy-minimized structure obtained by computer molecular modeling. We also report 1H- and 13C-NMR and MS data for this new diterpene.
