The (dis)continuity of breastfeeding care in prison: perception of health professionals and managers.

Objective: to describe the perception of health professionals and managers in the prison system regarding the continuity of breastfeeding care for lactating women deprived of liberty.

Method: descriptive-exploratory research, qualitative approach, developed in a prison unit in Rio de Janeiro from December 2022 to January 2023. Interviewees: five health professionals and two managers.

Feasibility trial of STRONG: A digital intervention to improve nutritional management for individuals with esophageal and gastroesophageal junction cancer.

Introduction: Individuals with esophageal and gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancers are at especially high risk of malnutrition. However, most patients with malnutrition do not receive adequate nutritional support. We conducted a single-arm trial to test the implementation of Support Through Remote Observation and Nutrition Guidance (STRONG), a multilevel digital intervention to improve nutritional outcomes for patients with locally advanced esophageal and gastroesophageal junction cancer.

Testicular cryopreservation: From technical aspects to practical applications.

Testicular cryopreservation has been highlighted as a promising alternative for preserving male fertility and can be applied to restore spermatogenesis in prepubertal individuals or cancer patients, preserve biologically valuable genotypes, and in studies on reproductive physiology or toxicity of various substances. This review presents an analysis of the technical aspects and applications of testicular cryopreservation, examining the contributions of important studies in this area and discussing the different factors that can impact the efficiency of the technique. Testicular fragments can be obtained from living or dead individuals, at any age and reproductive stage, through orchiectomy or biopsy.

Evaluating Digital Rehabilitation Outcomes in Chronic Musculoskeletal Conditions Across Non-Obesity, Obesity, and Severe Obesity.

Background: Obesity is a known risk factor and aggravator of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. The rising prevalence of obesity calls for scalable solutions to address MSK conditions in this population, given their complex clinical profile and barriers to accessing care.

Purpose: To evaluate the engagement and clinical outcomes of a fully remote digital care program in patients with MSK conditions, focusing on those with and without comorbid obesity.

Mobile Health for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Patients' Preferences and Perception of Patient-Centeredness.

Background: The increasingly fast development of mobile health technologies holds significant value for individuals dealing with mental health conditions. However, inadequate consideration of patients' preferences and expectations undermines real-world outcomes, including sustained adherence. Driven by the belief that specific characteristics, such as youth and higher education, of individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder make them suitable for digital adoption, we investigated mHealth-related desirability factors within this patient group.
