Uncomplicated Type B Aortic Dissection - A European Multicentre Cross-Sectional Evaluation.

Objectives: A multicentre European randomized control trial - European Uncomplicated Type B Aortic Repair (EU-TBAR) is being developed to compare pre-emptive TEVAR with custom-made devices vs conventional OMT. The pre-trial set-up is confluent on different pillars, including evaluation of 1) European activity, trends, and governance, 2) outcome reporting, and 3) cost evaluation. This article aimed to demonstrate the observational cross-sectional survey results from participating centres and highlight the risk assessment, activity, practices, and governance of uncomplicated type B aortic dissection (uTBAD).

Development of urinary diary mobile application and evaluation in patients with urinary incontinence.

Objective: To develop a feasible smartphone urinary diary application (UDA), and evaluate reliability and patient acceptability as a collection, calculation, and sharing tool.

Materials And Methods: We developed the UDA for smartphones, which collects voiding, leakage, fluid intake, and grade of urgency data. A two-way cross-sectional study was conducted with 60 participants, participants split into two groups.

Outcomes of Aortic Valve Replacement Via Right Anterior Minithoracotomy and Central Cannulation Versus Conventional Aortic Valve Replacement in Obese Patients.

Introduction: The minimally invasive implantation of aortic valve prosthesis via thoracotomy has numerous advantages and is comfortable, especially during the early postoperative period. Disadvantages of this method include peripheral vessel complications and groin infections. Central cannulation (direct aortic cannulation with superior vena cava cannulation) eliminates these drawbacks.

Changes in cardiac cells due to ticagrelor and enoxaparin in a rat ischemia/reperfusion model.

Objective: Studies on ischemia/reperfusion injury remain the focus of interest. Ticagrelor and enoxaparin, which are antiaggregant and anticoagulant drugs developed for use in many cardiovascular pathologies, are still included in many ischemia/reperfusion studies. Remarkably, their new protective effects, especially with regard to ticagrelor, continue to be reported in the current literature.
