Background: Hospitalization is an opportunity to optimize heart failure (HF) therapy. As optimal treatment for hospitalized HF patients in sinus rhythm with heart rate≥70bpm is unclear, we investigated the impact of combined beta-blocker (BB) and ivabradine versus BBs alone on short and longer term mortality and rehospitalization.
Methods And Results: A retrospective analysis was performed on 370 hospitalized HF patients with heart rate≥70bpm (150 BB+ivabradine, 220 BB alone) in the Optimize Heart Failure Care Program in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, from October 2015 to April 2016.
Aim: To determine a possibility for improving the capability of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) for self-care and self-control using a remote monitoring platform on a basis of mobile application.
Materials And Methods: The study included 142 patients with CHF of different etiology. During the stay in hospital, patients attended structured classes on different aspects of self-control and self-care in CHF.
The method of integral rheography was used for the examination of 126 patients with different forms of pericarditis. The authors have established different nature of the blood circulation insufficiency (heart compression and myocardiodystrophy), which should be taken into consideration in choosing the methods of treatment.
