Validity and reliability of self-reported methods for assessment of 24-h movement behaviours: a systematic review.

Background: Time spent in sleep, sedentary behaviour (SB), and physical activity are exhaustive and mutually exclusive parts of a 24-h day that need to be considered in a combination. The aim of this study was to identify validated self-reported tools for assessment of movement behaviours across the whole 24-h day, and to review their attributes and measurement properties.

Methods: The databases PubMed, Scopus, and SPORTDiscus were searched until September 2023.

Peacefull: A French mindfulness-based intervention for adolescents with chronic pain a feasibility study.

Introduction: Pediatric chronic pain can lead to serious consequences in terms of daily functioning and global quality of life. Mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) approaches that emphasize accepting rather than controlling pain have gained increasing attention in adults with chronic pain. The effectiveness of MBIs for chronic pain in the pediatric population remains unknown.

Resistance Exercise for Improving Running Economy and Running Biomechanics and Decreasing Running-Related Injury Risk: A Narrative Review.

It is well-accepted that at least a certain amount of resistance exercise (RE) is recommended for most endurance athletes. In this review, we aim to summarize the evidence regarding the effects of RE on running economy, running biomechanics, and running-related injury risk in endurance runners. The evidence robustly shows that lower limb RE is effective for improving running economy and performance, with a combination of strength and plyometric training being recommended to improve RE.

Description and evaluation of a French grief workshop for children and adolescents bereaved of a sibling or parent.

Background: Childhood bereavement is common, and is associated with elevated symptoms of grief with distress and impairment. However, few developmentally appropriate interventions to support grieving children are available to date. In Toulouse, France we developed an innovative four-session group intervention to support grieving families and evaluated its feasibility and acceptability.

Patients requiring pediatric palliative care for advanced heart disease in France: A descriptive study.

Introduction: Pediatric palliative care (PPC) teams address unmet needs and improve the quality of life of patients with life-limiting conditions across pediatric subspecialties. However, little is known about the timing, reasons, and nature of PPC team interventions in advanced heart diseases (AHD).

Objectives: Here we describe how, when, and why PPC teams interact with referred teams of children suffering from AHD.
