Introduction: Transplant vasculopathy resembles atherosclerotic plaque formation and is a major contributor to late graft failure in kidney transplant recipients (KTR). Remnant lipoproteins and associated triglycerides are causal risk factors for atherosclerotic plaques and have been implicated in late kidney graft failure. However, whether remnants derived from liver (containing apolipoprotein [apo] B100) or intestine (containing apoB48) are clinically more important is unclear.

The placement of a central venous catheter (CVC) is a common intervention in hospitalized patients. Several adverse events have been reported in this "blind" procedure when it is performed without the aid of ultrasound, including artery catheterization, which although uncommon, is a serious complication. Potential treatment options include manual compression, open surgical repair, and endovascular treatment.

This study explored 60 Greek-Cypriot managers' perceptions of different dimensions of leadership. Analyses using structural equation modeling were performed to examine the invariance of the Flamholtz six-factor leadership model. The same leadership styles observed in samples from countries previously studied were present in the sample from Cyprus.

MeCP2 is an abundant mammalian protein that binds methylated CpG (mCpG) sequences within double-stranded DNA, represses transcription by recruiting histone deacetylases, and is essential for embryonic development. It is one of a family of proteins which mediate the biological consequences of DNA methylation. These proteins each possess a sequence motif of about 70 residues which, in MeCP2, form a domain necessary and sufficient for binding to mCpG.
