The mission of the JT-60SA project is to complement ITER's capabilities by addressing the fundamental physics and engineering challenges necessary to develop a practical and reliable fusion power plant. Diagnostics play a pivotal role in achieving this mission, especially the Thomson Scattering (TS) diagnostic systems developed by a collaborative Japan-EU team.
