Background: stimulation introduces bioactive compounds, such as prebiotics, probiotics, or synbiotics into incubating eggs to enhance gut health and immune system development in chickens. This study aimed to determine the genetic and environmental effects modulating responses to stimulation in commercial broilers and Green-legged Partridge-like (GP) native chickens.
Methods: Eggs were stimulated on day 12 of incubation with prebiotics (GOS-galactooligosaccharides), probiotics ( subsp.
An effective vaccine against hepatitis C virus (HCV) should elicit both humoral and cellular immune responses. Previously, we characterized a bivalent vaccine candidate against hepatitis B (HBV) and HCV using chimeric HBV-HCV virus-like particles (VLP), in which the highly conserved epitope of HCV E2 glycoprotein (residues 412-425) was inserted into the hydrophilic loop of HBV small surface antigen (sHBsAg). While sHBsAg_412-425 elicited cross-neutralizing antibodies, it did not trigger a T-cell response against HCV.

These include the evolution of dual-energy CT (DECT) and development of photon-counting computed tomography (PCCT). DECT enables the acquisition of CT images at two different energy spectra, which allows for the differentiation of certain materials, mainly calcium and iodine.

Poor CD8 T-cell infiltration, low neoantigen load and a highly immunosuppressive tumour microenvironment contribute to this lack of response. Here, we aimed to further investigate the immunoregulatory function of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) in PDAC, with specific emphasis on regulation of the type-II interferon response that is critical in promoting T-cell tumour recognition and effective immunosurveillance.

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of adding freeze-dried white and brown button mushrooms (2.5% and 5%) to wheat bread on its health-promoting properties such as antioxidant activity (DPPH, FRAP), total polyphenols and vitamin D content and as well as the technological quality as colour and texture.
