Aim: An ideal biomarker for early diagnosis of septic acute kidney injury (AKI) should reflect renal stress or damage at initiation point, at cellular level. The aim of this study was to assess the role of a urinary cell cycle arrest marker, insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7) in early diagnosis of septic AKI in adult critical care patients.
Methods: This was a single-center prospective cohort study.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of exercise on apoptosis in rat gastrocnemius and soleus muscle tissue and to determine the effect of meloxicam, a novel non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), on the ratio of exercise-induced apoptosis. Forty male Wistar rats were used in the experiments. Spontaneous wheel-running was used as an exercise protocol.
